/ YET TO BE EDITED The notion of relational field corresponds to the post-historical society. We deal with a interrelational network where any individual represents a field of relations, a knot. It is a web of intersubjectivity which has surpassed the division between subject and object, private and public.
All the points in relational fields are equivalent, irreducible and central with regard to each other.
“Man as a knot of relations is standing still (he is always “here and now”), and he forms the center of the universal network inasmuch as he receives, stores, processes and transmits informations.” (Vilém Flusser, About a house of colour, 1988)
This new arrangement is also connected with a different conception of the house, which starts to be completely permeable. A man doesn't have to leave its private spot to acquire the information outside because the information accesses him directly at home (perforated house). The house also becomes a station where the information is being processed, stored and transmitted.
“(…) the house will no longer be a shell to containt individuals but rather a field for the condensation and dissimination of intersubjective relations.” (Vilém Flusser, About a house of colour, 1988)
The ideal functioning of the web of intersubjectivity would be that one which operates through colour codes allowing an interactive system with no language barriers.
