Katerina Krtilova, PhD is a researcher at the Zurich University of the Arts, FSP Ästhetik (Research Center for Aesthetics). She has completed her PhD on “Gesten des Denkens. Vilém Flussers Medienphilosophie” (Gestures of Thinking. Vilém Flusser`s Media Philosophy) at Bauhaus-Universität Weimar in 2017 and focused on media philosophy and the relations between mediality, reflexivity and performativity in publications like “Praxis und Medialität” (Practice and Mediality), the 2019 issue of the Internationales Jahrbuch für Medienphilosophie (co-edited with Dieter Mersch) or „On the Practice of Theory. The Technological Turn of Media Theory and Aesthetic Practice of Media Philosophy”, in: Bernd Herzogenrath (ed.), Practical Aesthetics, 2020. Her current project explores the intersections of media theory and religious practices.
