Michael Bielicky is a Czech-German media artist born 12 January 1954 in Prague. He is professor for Media Art at the University of Art and Design Karlsruhe / ZKM, Germany.

In late August 1991, he visited Vilém Flusser at his residence in Robion, France on freelance assignment for a television station. This resulted in an intimate portrait of Flusser full of lively conversations on focal points of Flusser's work, which Bielicky published in 1994 under the title Vilém Flusser's Fluss. A Documentation.

The transcript presented here for the first time, however, is also based on the entire uncut film material. featuring Flusser's typically provocative conversational style. Bielicky also recorded an ill-fated visit of some arte television producers in a documentary treasure Human History as TV Drama where Flusser is featured as an visionary of television which could be but never was.
